Jeffrey Michael is a London based Costume Designer, who is a member of the BAFTA Crew. He is currently represented by the award winning London agency Wizzo & Co. His work has been showcased in feature film, TV, advertisement, theatre, red carpet, and shown at London, Paris, Brazilian, and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Jeffrey has just worked with RSA Films (Ridley Scott) on the critically acclaimed short film The Corridor, which was the signature central piece of the Stanley Kubrick Exhibit, ‘Daydreaming With Stanley Kubrick’, at Somerset House. This piece featured Joanna Lumley (Ab Fab) and Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) in custom period and Kubrickian costumes designed and made by Jeffrey Michael under the amazing director Toby Dye, and producer Rebecca Mills.

His most recent major feature film with Blonde to Black Productions, Set the Thames on Fire’ ‘, of which he was Costume Designer, has debuted with great critical acclaim. Starring Noel Fielding, Sally Phillips, and Sadie Frost, this film has just internationally premiered at the ‘Palm Springs International Film Festival’ 2016 , and UK Premiere at the ‘BFI Comedy Festival’ 2016. Trained as an architect in Canada, his costume work showcases detailed handmade pieces, as well as use of layering and unique texture to portray character. He received his Bachelor of Architecture with High Distinction, along with his Minor in Film Studies from Carleton University.

The style of JM fuses elements of custom high fashion, layered organic textures, and sometimes lighting integration to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Focusing on small details, layers, textures, psychology, and ageing objects based on detailed references and deep research, his pieces have been used around the world on sets and stages.

Jeffrey has also worked with an amazing and diverse array of music talent including Jessie J, U2, Example, Dionne Bromfield, Kimberly Wyatt (of the Pussycat Dolls), and Marina and the Diamonds. His work has been showcased in Vogue, interviewed on Fashion Television, interviewed by Daria Shapovala of Fashion TV, used at the Much Music Video Awards, and in commercials for Frost French, Rimmel London, and Hendricks Gin.
